HP2 Megamoto stock suspension notes.

The Megamoto has a large amount of suspension adjustability, and not much instruction on how to best use it. I have listed here the settings that other riders have shared with me in hope of trying to get the best set up for our bikes. I am currently running between John & Joe's setting and very happy with the feel of the bike so far.

Front rebound stock............10 clicks out
John A road setting..............14 clicks out
Joe Bar road setting..............15 clicks out
DM track setting....................2 ( not a mistype, way down)

Front compression stock......10
John A road setting...............full out
Joe Bar road setting..............16 clicks out from max
DM track setting...................7

Rear rebound stock...............19
John A road setting...............22
Joe Bar road setting..............23 clicks out from max
DM track setting...................27

Rear compression stock........12
John A road setting...............16
Joe Bar road setting...............19 clicks out from max
DM track setting....................7

It is worth noting that according to Olins the “standard” (01096-39) rear spring typically fits a ‘dressed’ rider weight of 155-175lbs (a weight I haven't been since I was a teenager!)
At 200-220lbs they recommend the following spring: 01096-44
At 240lbs they recommend the following spring: 01096-49

You can call Jerry Wohlgemuth at Olins directly to discuss and order what you need. 828-692-4525 ex 313

Cost was $102 delivered, but still haven't fitted it as I'm waiting to find a great suspension shop to do everything.

I just had my first 140 mile ride with the new Racetech front end, and the correct, upgraded rear spring on the rear, which was also lowered to the bike minimum ride height.

The transformation is incredible, I can't tell you guys how much it has transformed the bike, I was seriously thinking I'd let go of the Megamoto, but this upgrade changes everything, the bike is just superb now!

Hi at all!

Just an info about megamoto setup suspensions;
The user manual tell THE OPPOSITE about the setting of original Marzocchi!!!!!!

WHY?

PLEASE LOOK AT THIS PDF MARZOCCHI DOCUMENT:
http://ifile.it/bui816t/marzocchiSETUP.pdf

or look at marzocchi.com and download setting's instructions.

Is there a mistake or not?

Ex.
the user manual speaks that the rebound adjustament need to be set from the upper part, instead of the marzocchi instructions that speaks that it need to be set from the lower part. IT IS THE OPPOSITE!!!!!!

THE SAME FOR THE COMPRESSION ADJUSTAMENT.

Who have wrong/right? please help me

thanks

The document that you linked to appears to be for a different fork, but it is hard to tell. Anyway I suggest that you follow the BMW instructions, because they use a specially ordered fork, not an off the shelf one, so their instructions will apply to the fork they have ordered from Marzocchi. If their instructions were wrong I am 100% certain the owner group would have noticed, as would the suspension tuners like Racetech, and we would all be aware of it by now.
